Rushmi Matete is an Advocate of the High Court and an associate in our Conveyancing Department. She focuses on property law and conveyancing including acting on sales and acquisition of land, negotiating commercial, residential and mixed use leases, conducting property due diligence in property, share and asset sales and acquisition deals, structuring and advising property developments, advising in property joint ventures and construction contracts.

Rushmi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in the year 2018 and immediately embarked on her Kenya School of Law diploma. She was admitted to the bar in 2020 and joined our rank of advocates.

She has worked in several transactions including; Conducting due diligence reviews on financing and the suitability of properties for loan facilities, advising a major real estate company on the general project structure for a mixed use development, and negotiated contractual terms relating to high value property sales.

In her free time, she enjoys philosophy, literature, travel and food.
