Ms Mungai is the most recent addition to the I&N family. She rose to the ranks of Advocate after recently completing her pupillage with the Firm.Her work ethic has seen her handle daily assignments commendably.

Her passions and interests have gravitated her toward the Commercial Department of the Firm.

  • M&A: part of the team that is currently advising a Somali-based commercial bank in relation to an intended acquisition of a 62.5% equity stake in a Kenya-registered sharia-compliant bank at a consideration of USD 21,801,348.94;
  • Infrastructure and projects: part of the team that is currently providing legal advisory services to a retirement benefits scheme in relation to an intended development of an affordable housing project that is being implemented in a public-private partnership (PPP) model;
  • Corporate: currently assisting a consortium of KPMG and I&N in advising an Ethiopian e-commerce services company in relation to its liquidation and exit of the Ethiopian market on the back of prolonged conflict that has greatly affected business in the country
  • Corporate financing: Part of the team that is structuring the financing of a real estate project being undertaken under the affordable housing program, which is currently valued at approximately Kshs. 2 Billion;
  • Data Protection and Privacy: Has previous experience working as a researcher at an academic institution with specific specialization in data protection rights in the continent;
  • Corporate: advised an education services provider in relation an intended repurchase of shares held by the school’s staff savings and credit cooperative society in the company;
  • Data Protection and Privacy: Advised a Non – Governmental Organisation (NGOs) that works with children on how to streamlines its data protection policy to was in line with the current Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019;
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Part of the team that advised a foreign money remittance service provider on the procedure for applying for a license to operate in Kenya in compliance with the Central Bank of Kenya Act and Regulations
  • Company secretarial services: on behalf of the Senior Partner, routinely provides company secretarial services to various companies in various sectors including real estate, agribusiness, technology, education, construction, and solar energy whose portfolio includes private companies, public companies, companies limited by guarantee, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and branch offices owned by both local and international investors.
